The cartridge is a sticky surface cartridge that is good for use for 30 days. You should consider replacing the cartridge after 30 days because it will lose effectiveness in catching insects and mosquitoes. The replacement UV Lamp should be purchased after your existing UV Lamp has been used for 8 months or longer, even if the light still appears functional. After 8 months, the lamp looses effectiveness in catching insects and mosquitoes.
